Barcelona : DAY 3
On the 3rd day in Barcelona we decided to play tourists again and get on the red bus-line to see more of this beautiful city.
Our first stop was MNAC (National Museum of Catalonia)
We hopped off of our tourist bus and stood with our jaws on the floor for a few minutes. The surroundings and the gardens and the waterfalls are incredible. The building is even more beautiful.
MNAC is one of the greatest museums of Barcelona …which is saying a lot.
Thank god there was no queue to get in.I suggest you get the audio guides to help you around this vast museum cuz there is so much to see.
We spent 3 hours there and I didn’t see everything. There are plenty of restrooms and a cafe if you need them. .
We paid about 15 euros for 2 of us as we had a coupon from the bus company.
Make sure you visit the main auditorium and admire the organ and the decor.
ENJOY THE VIEW!
If I were a princess…my palace would look exactly like this :))
After saving these amazing images in our heads…. we decided to go grab some lunch at the beach.
We took the red line, which leads you exactly to Port Olimpic.
After hopping off we decided to eat at a restaurant with a german name (I can’t remember the exactly name but it has a blue shield and it’s like 1 minute away from the bus station)
I swear to god that they serve the best sea-food ever.
We went there often and the food got even better and better 😀
After having the best lunch ever…we wanted to visit the Monestir de Pedralbes but it was quite late as we got there…and they already closed 😦
The HIGHLIGHT of the day was back at MNAC where the magical Fountain Show is taking place every Thursday through Sunday.
Every half-hour between 9:00 and 11:00pm May to September and October to April ///Fridays and Saturdays every half-hour between 7:00 and 8:30pm.
It was an evening spectacle worthy of postcards : Barcelona’s Magic Fountains.
You might be thinking, these photos are fake… They’re not. The weather combined with the light of a beautiful sunset lit the sky and buildings with beautiful colors and dynamic contrasting shadows.
It was breathtaking.
We stayed for 2 shows because the magic really caught us.
I also filmed it…I have to improve my editing skills…and then I’ll post the video 😀
Untill then you can view this amazing youtube video to get an idea of it : HERE
P.S.Make sure you pay attention to your bags..even if you are fascinated by the shows…believe me,the thieves are fascinated by your objects of values 😀
MORE of that night
Another Highlight of that night was experiencing the Harley Festival live.
It was quite fun and the bikers were quite nice…we even stopped at a concert and danced on country music ihaaa hahaha
Our last stop on that day was “las arenas de Barcelona”
On the inside it’s a shopping mall and on the roof are plenty of restaurants with an amazing view over Barcelona
You have to pay 1 euro to get on the roof but I think the price is pretty acceptable for such a view.
