Milan:DAY 2
We started the 2nd day in Milan full of power and joy.
We were eager to get to know this lil italian town better.
I got myself into a comfy outfit so that I could enjoy every second of that day without any inconvenience.
Soooo….after having a a breakfast for champions,we headed to Duomo to get on the “Hop-On-Hop-Off” bus.(like always when we’re in a new city haha)
*(by the way….the breakfast buffet was huge and the food was amazeballs…kinda miss the breakfast there
Wouldn’t it be great to wake up and to know that your breakfast is ready for you and there’s a plenty of choice…EVERY SINGLE MORNING?!)
However…after eating for 6 persons,we set out to downtown.
We bought our tickets for the bus which has 3 different lines (red, blue, yellow) and we were ready to explore the city.
One ticket for 48 hours costs 25 €.
I found it very odd that they don’t sell tickets for only 24 hours like in the other cities I’ve been to.
To be honest….the tour was kind of a disappointment for us.
Milan is a wonderful fashion city and it’s perfect for fashion purposes (such as :fashion week, shopping, fashion inquiries) but it doesn’t have plenty of sights.
Honestly…the sightseeing tour didn’t impressed me at all.
The sightseeing tour was kind of a FAIL…so we decided to take the bus back to downtown where the action happens.
I’m gonna tell you everything about MFW in an other post.
Short info:it’s totally the opposite of VFW.
VFW has a fix location, every year for every show.
MFW is happening all over the city.
The designers choose different locations for the shows…. all over the inner city .
The fashionistas are all over the place the whole time….I kinda liked that.
However…after a few hours of wandering around…we’ve found the best place to have lunch.
The view was amazing and the food was sooper yummy…not like at the restaurant the other day.
After grabbing a bite…it was finally SHOPPING TIME!!!
We went to Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II
THIS SHOPPING AREA REALLY IMPRESSED ME!!!
As you approach this huge plaza, strip mall, whatever you’d like to call it you can’t help but just gasp of it’s intricate structure.
Mosaic tiling, intricate high rise, beautiful!
Also it reminds me of just a mini town within itself, the feel of walking in.
It has many different shops (high end stores, etc) and also cafes/restaurants! If you’re looking for a sense of familiarity you’re in luck! There’s even a McDonald’s!! :)) A definitely must see!!!
After wandering around for hours we went back to the hotel to get ready for a cocktail-night.
