Falkensteiner blogger sports trip (PART 2)

Hey cuties,

As you already know,3 weeks ago I was on a 4 days blogger sports trip at Falkensteiner Bad Waltersdorf (PART 1 : HERE)

On the 3rd day we had these 3 activities on our schedule: YOGA , SMOVEY and GOLF

This post was actually planned for last week but I was on a trip till yesterday, that’s why I didn’t have the time to write it 😦

(P.S.I need a course in time management ASAP haha)

We woke up pretty early on the 3rd day because our schedule was full with activities and YOGA was the first one on our plan.

YOGA

I was quite excited about YOGA because I have never tried it before and it was on my bucket list (like forever)

We had an amazing yogi teacher from Schlosshotel Velden.

I’m pretty glad that she was my first one haha…she radiated such a positive energy that I felt relaxed and comfortable from the start.

Guys, let me tell you something : YOGA IS TOTALLY A WORK-OUT…YOU WILL SWEAT YOUR BOOTY OFF :))

I didn’t really consider the expectations I had for yoga, but falling over because I couldn’t hold a pose as long as everyone else was definitely not one of them (note: That totally happened. Several times!). I can certainly see how yoga can tone your body. If you happen to be like me and exercise your body balance for once a year, then it might be difficult for you, too…but don’t let that stop you! No one made me feel like an outsider if I was in the wrong pose or couldn’t hold it long enough (the other bloggers were quite good at holding some poses, even though it was their first time too)

YOGA is really more spiritually-focused than I expected

I knew that yoga was a mental game as much as a physical one, which is a large reason why I wanted to try it. But I wasn’t expecting to end class laying in the grass while listening to the birds sing. I thought it was pretty cool, and very much what I was looking for.

I just can’t wait to do it again (already did some practicing at home  but I’m looking forward to a next yoga class with a teacher)

After 90 minutes of yoga,we had a delish picnic .

Right after our picnic,we headed to our next activity on our schedule.

SMOVEY

I have to admit that I didn’t know anything about SMOVEY.

I tought we were going to mix some fruits and make delish smoothies haha but I’ve never been so wrong in my life :)))

Smovey is a dynamic fitness product in the form of a ring.

Each Smovey ring weighs 1 lb and includes four metal balls that run freely inside the hollow plastic tubes.

How Does it Work?

Swinging the Smovey rings moves the balls inside the rings creating a varying resistance that is dynamically adjusted based on your strength and condition.

The movement of the balls also creates a vibration, which is transmitted through the handles of the Smovey rings to the palms of the hand.

The Smovey work-out was pretty fun..will I do it again?

Probably not!:D

Right after our smovey class we had to hurry up for the last activity on our schedule

GOLF

I was quite surprised by this class because I always associated golf with something boring (my bad) but a teacher from Falkensteiner Therme & Golf Hotel Bad Waltersdorf showed me that golf is actually quite fun and not that easy to play as I assumed.

At the beginning, our teacher outfitted us with different clubs while he explained some of the purpose, history and modern construction of golf gear. He enjoyed teaching these basics to us wide-eyed beginners, and I found his enthusiasm a little surprising because he coaches very advanced students far more complicated topics.

Here is what I learned: Irons are usually made of steel. Woods are no longer made of wood. Hybrids are a combination of irons and woods. “We start you with sand wedges,” he said, “to get the ball up in the air.”

After that,we learned how to hold the golf club correctly (that was really the hardest part)

Then we got right into it.

It was my bad posture that was messing up my backswing, which made me swing across the ball and sent my shots to the right. I’d fix my posture, but after a few more swings I’d start to slump again.

“I don’t understand why I can’t get this right,” I said.

He smiled. “Well, you’re in the first 15 minutes of your first golf lesson. You’re doing fantastic, actually.”

By the end of the first lesson, I was hitting every ball, sending most of the pitch shots up and out. It was an awesome sensation when that happened. our teacher made it fun, even with my lousy swing, because I knew I’d get better.

After the golf sessions, some of the bloggers have to leave.

Me and the others enjoyed the rest of the time at the pool or at the bar (busted haha)

Many, many thanks Falkensteiner Hotels for this unique experience.

I’m really grateful that I was part of such an awesome program.

THANK YOU for the invitation ❤

Have you ever tried one of these 3 activities before?

How was your first experience?

Bisous,

A.
